I’msme [ I am sme ] is a trusted Business Ecosystem of Indian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises ( MSMEs), a one -stop online platform that ever nurtures communities of MSMEs to, connect to other SMEs, service providers, institutions and more…, access knowledge resources for tangible benefits, ask and find solutions to their business problems and showcase their products and services on a business to business marketplace.

The ecosystem will comprise of the following key online platforms:

  1. Information Portal: The I’msme portal is an information sharing platform that provides knowledge resources for tangible benefits to SME. From capturing policies and schemes effecting MSMEs to providing detailed sectoral and international markets information, the portal will provide a whole host of relevant information on a single platform that is not usually available. The portal is divided into following sections:CII Business Services: The Section features various services to enhance competitiveness and provide expert advise on various areas of business interestPolicywatch: The section sheds light on government policies, schemes and notifications which seek to impact the growth and development of Indian MSMEs.

    Sectors: The SME-dominated sectors are discussed here, with a focus on their present status, export trend and potential, specific policy interventions, recent investment scenario and sectoral constraints, etc.

    Global Markets: The section provides country wise information on the opportunities and approaches to the various international markets.

    Programmes: Various MSME events and programmes are featured here

    Publications: The various publications for MSMEs are complied under this section

    Media: The section features, news, releases and other media stories on SME

  2. Business Network: The Online Business Network is a virtual community of Enterprises, Institutions and Individuals, where they Search and find others to meet their business requirements, collaborate and share information for common goals. The key features include:MyProfile: The registered users on the network maintain their profiles which includes relevant information, images, etc. about the Enterprise, Institution or the IndividualSearch: Various Searches including Company, People and Institution searches can be performed based on the data captured in their profiles. Upon Searching, a SME can identify suitable matches to its requirements after looking at the public profiles of the given results.

    MyConnections: An SME, can find build an online relationship with the another on the network The associates thus made can be Clients, Service Providers, Suppliers, etc., thus creating a “trusted” network of associates for various business functions

    MyMessages: The network members can communicate with each other using online messaging tools

    MyGroups: SMEs can form online groups to share knowledge on common interest areas.

    MyWhiteboard: The whiteboard feature is a place where other people in the trusted network of the user can put text posts to share information

  3. Business Query Answering Platform: The soon to be developed platform provides online tools to MSMEs to seek solutions and advise on various areas of Business Interest. The queries can be posed to experts or the user community at large. Thus numerous possible answers to a give query are collected, which help in solving the business problem posed. The knowledgebase generated is made available for all to refer to.
  4. Business to Business Marketplace: The soon to be developed marketplace is an online venue where buyers and sellers come to communicate, collaborate and do business transactions. A B2B marketplace handles a large number of participant companies as a community. The main objective of a marketplace is to organize a business platform with features that allow members to conduct various business processes over the Internet and increase company productivity.
